Join Peggy Jarred from the Idaho Gourd Society as she teaches the art of pine needle weaving for a gourd bowl.
A fitted lid for a gourd is made by coiling pine needles around a small pine cone that is the handle for the lid.
All supplies will be furnished including a small gourd cleaned and an opening cut to fit the lid to.
The lid will be finished in class and the gourd can be decorated at home. Some examples will be shown for ideas of how to enhance the gourd, using ink dyes, knotless netting, colored pencils, ink pens, or acrylic paints.
